KDO Launches Global Headquarters on Cambodia's Peace Day Anniversary

A Symbolic Day for Democratic Renewal
The Khmer Democracy Organization (KDO) chose Cambodia's Peace Day anniversary - marking the October 23, 1953 Paris Agreements that ended colonial rule - to officially open its international headquarters in Melbourne, Australia.
"This date represents both our painful history and hopeful future," said President Soengsen Karuna during the inauguration. "Just as our ancestors fought for independence, we now continue their struggle for true democratic sovereignty."

President's Exclusive Interview with RFA
In a commemorative interview with Radio Free Asia, President Karuna outlined KDO's strategic vision:
"Our headquarters represents more than just offices - it's a hub for the Cambodian democratic resistance. From here, we'll coordinate international advocacy, train activists, and document human rights violations with the latest technology. The Paris Agreements promised self-determination; we're here to make that promise real."
